In this session members of the Salt Lake City School District Student Services Department discuss the basic tenets of Restorative Justice in the educational setting and share the successes and pitfalls of implementing Restorative Justice Practices at the classroom, school and district level.

This presentation is designed to provide school counselors with information to assist English Language Learning (ELL) students in reaching their academic potential inside and outside the classroom. These students bring a wealth of experience and cultural diversity to the classroom. However, they often fail to reach their potential. This presentation will cover individual factors and institutional factors affecting the success of ELL students as well as a brief discussion of solutions to the challenges faced by ELL students.
