This Keynote Address will provide a refreshing look at the importance of establishing meaningful relationships not only with our students, but with our school teams as well. Practical (and evidence-based) strategies will be provided through humorous (and sometimes irreverent) experiences of a mental health practitioner, special educator, and administrator. Optimistic Teaming is a relatively new approach in schools but very complimentary to the PLC process. Optimistic Teaming is rooted in the research and evidence of V. Mark Durand and his colleagues from the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg.
