Want to help students get motivated to make positive changes: reduce how much time they waste, reduce their family conflicts, or spend more time researching their futures? How about helping students increase their use of positive coping skills such as mindfulness, deep breathing, or positive thinking? This presentation will explore the use of a new school counseling app "Characterized", which is meant to help in these and many more areas, and which can be used during a College and Career Readiness Meeting. During this session you will gain hands on experience with the application and will learn ways to use the app to help students identify areas where they would like to change to be more college and career ready, motivate students in their process of change, and collect data on the changes made due to the intervention.
